Commander, like their parent company Vocus Group, are experts in business phone and internet solutions. Unlike Vocus, however, Commander specialises in small business; exclusively servicing companies with anywhere from 2 to 50 staff.
Vocus needed to more clearly delineate their brands, and in the process wanted to give Commander a visual refresh, while minimising the loss of any of the brand recognition they've built over the last 30 years in the industry.
The team narrowed down a subset of the existing website pages to be redesigned and converted to Hubspot landing pages to make it easier to manage and iteratively improve the customer journey.
I designed a set of reusable components that would serve both to modernise Commander's digital presence and improve the visual hierarchy of the new pages created.
I was responsible for creating HTML & CSS component templates from my designs that were then used to develop Hubspot modules for the new landing pages. I then worked with the lead developer to ensure implementation was in-line with the updated visual style.
I created a set of spot illustrations and icons for use throughout the new landing pages and refreshed email templates. By using a minimal colour palette and bold geometric shapes, the illustrations strike a good balance between friendly and professional, reinforcing the overall tone for the new Commander brand
